Event Organizer Terms
Event Organizer Terms
Effective September 10, 2026 · Applies to all users
Obligations of organizers who list events and issue tickets through MiMiSpot, including permits, safety, cancellation and attendee data.
MiMiSpot's role for events
MiMiSpot provides tools that let organizers publish event listings, offer tickets and admit attendees using MiMiSpot's scanning tools. The organizer, not MiMiSpot, is the promoter and operator of the event and is the party that contracts with attendees. MiMiSpot is not responsible for producing, staffing, securing or running any event.
Eligibility and organizer accounts
- You must hold a MiMiSpot account in good standing and be at least 18 years old or the age of majority where you live.
- You must be the organizer or authorised by the organizer to publish the event and issue tickets on its behalf.
- You must provide accurate organizer, contact and venue information and keep it current.
Event listing accuracy
- Describe the event, venue, date, start and end times, line-up, age restrictions, accessibility, and what a ticket includes truthfully.
- Use only images and names you have the right to use.
- State any conditions of entry, prohibited items, dress code or health requirements in the listing before tickets are made available.
- Update the listing promptly if details change, and notify ticket holders of material changes through MiMiSpot.
Permits, licences and venue authority
You are responsible for obtaining and complying with every permit, licence, permission, insurance and approval required for the event, including venue hire, public entertainment, alcohol, noise, food safety, fire safety, crowd management and local authority requirements. MiMiSpot may ask for evidence of permits before or after an event is listed and may decline or remove an event where evidence is not provided.
Safety and security
You must plan and run the event safely, including venue capacity limits, emergency exits, first aid, security, crowd control and weather contingencies. Ticket inventory set in MiMiSpot must never exceed the lawful capacity of the venue. You must cooperate with emergency services and comply with directions from venue operators and public authorities.
Ticket capacity and inventory
You control the ticket types, prices, quantities and sales windows for your event. MiMiSpot enforces the quantities you set, holds inventory briefly while an attendee completes an order and releases expired holds automatically. You must not oversell capacity, issue tickets outside MiMiSpot for the same inventory in a way that causes overselling, or create duplicate events for the same occasion.
Event review, activation and removal
New and materially changed events may be reviewed by MiMiSpot before they are shown publicly. MiMiSpot may decline, pause or remove an event that appears unlawful, unsafe, misleading, duplicative or in breach of these terms or the Terms of Use, and may cancel outstanding tickets where an event is removed. MiMiSpot will tell you what happened where practical.
Organizer fees and ticket pricing
No organizer, activation, listing or per-ticket platform fee is charged at this time, and only free tickets can currently be issued through MiMiSpot. Any future paid ticketing or organizer fees would be published separately, would apply only to events or sales after they take effect, and would require your express acceptance before they apply to you.
Cancellation, postponement and refunds
- If you cancel or postpone an event you must update the event in MiMiSpot immediately so that ticket holders are notified.
- Tickets for a cancelled event are voided. For a postponed event, existing tickets remain valid for the new date unless you state otherwise.
- For any paid tickets offered in future, the refund terms shown at the time of purchase and the Event Ticketing Terms will apply; you must honour them.
- You are responsible for communicating clearly and promptly with attendees about cancellations and changes.
Attendee data
You receive attendee information only to the extent needed to admit attendees, communicate about the event and comply with law. You must handle attendee information in accordance with the Privacy Policy and applicable law, must not sell it, must not use it for unrelated marketing without a lawful basis, and must delete it when it is no longer needed for the event and any legal retention period.
Scanning and admission
MiMiSpot issues each ticket holder a secure, rotating admission credential and lets you authorise scanner staff for your event. You must keep scanner access limited to trusted staff, revoke access when staff change and admit only credentials that MiMiSpot's scanner accepts. Each ticket can be admitted once; disputes at the door should be recorded through the scanner tools so MiMiSpot can help resolve them.
Prohibited events and conduct
- Events that are unlawful, that promote violence, hatred or discrimination, or that require an unobtained licence.
- Events that mislead attendees about the nature, line-up, venue or inclusions.
- Reselling MiMiSpot-issued tickets at a premium or facilitating unauthorised resale.
- Collecting attendee payments or personal information outside MiMiSpot in a manner designed to evade these terms.
Responsibility and indemnity
You are responsible for the event and for losses, claims and costs arising from it, including injury, property damage, permit breaches, intellectual-property claims and attendee complaints, except to the extent caused by MiMiSpot's own breach. To the extent permitted by law you agree to compensate MiMiSpot for claims brought against MiMiSpot that arise from your event or your breach of these terms.
