Event Ticketing Terms

Event Ticketing Terms

Effective September 10, 2026 · Applies to all users

How tickets ordered through MiMiSpot work: holds, issuance, secure rotating credentials, admission, transfers, cancellations and refunds.

Who you are contracting with

When you order a ticket through MiMiSpot you are obtaining a licence of admission from the event organizer named on the event page. The organizer is responsible for staging the event, admitting ticket holders and honouring the event's cancellation and refund terms. MiMiSpot provides the ticketing tools, the secure admission credential and the scanning system.

Ticket types and pricing

Each ticket type shows its name, what it includes, any restrictions and its price. Only free tickets can be issued through MiMiSpot at this time; no payment is collected and no card details are requested. If paid tickets are offered in future, the total price, any fees and the refund terms will be displayed before you confirm an order.

Ordering and ticket holds

When you start an order, the requested quantity is held for you for a short period (currently ten minutes) so that inventory is not sold twice. If you do not complete the order within the hold period the hold expires automatically and the tickets return to general availability. A hold is not a ticket and confers no right of admission.

Issuance and your tickets

Once your order is confirmed, tickets are issued to your MiMiSpot account and appear under My Tickets on the web and in the mobile app. A ticket is personal to the account it was issued to. Your account is the record of your entitlement; screenshots, printed copies and forwarded images are not accepted for admission.

Secure rotating admission credentials

For admission, MiMiSpot displays a secure credential (for example a QR code) that is generated by MiMiSpot's servers, is valid for a short period and refreshes automatically while you are signed in. Because the credential rotates, a copy that has been shared, photographed or screenshotted will stop working. Only credentials generated for the ticket holder's own account and presented within their validity period are accepted at the door.

MiMiSpot may invalidate all previously generated credentials for a ticket (for example if you report your account compromised or if the ticket is transferred) and issue new ones. You must be signed in and able to load a current credential at the time of entry; please arrive with a working, charged device and, where needed, a data connection.

Admission and scanning

  • Each ticket admits one person once. After a ticket has been scanned and admitted it cannot be used again.
  • Admission is subject to the event's conditions of entry, age limits, security checks and venue rules stated on the event page.
  • Scanner staff see only the admission outcome and the ticket type; they do not see your personal profile beyond what is needed to admit you.
  • If a scan is refused, staff can record the outcome so that MiMiSpot support can help resolve the issue.

Transfers and resale

Tickets may be transferred only where the event page states that transfers are allowed and only through a MiMiSpot transfer feature, which re-issues the credential to the new holder and invalidates the old one. Tickets must not be resold for more than their face value, offered through unauthorised channels or used for promotions without the organizer's permission. MiMiSpot may void tickets that are resold or transferred in breach of these terms.

Cancellations and changes by the organizer

If the organizer cancels an event, tickets are voided and you will be notified through MiMiSpot. If an event is postponed or its venue changes, your ticket normally remains valid for the rescheduled event unless the organizer states otherwise. For any paid tickets offered in future, your refund rights are those shown at the time of purchase, together with any rights you have under applicable consumer law that cannot be excluded.

Cancellations by you

You may release a free ticket you no longer need from My Tickets so that it becomes available to others. For any paid tickets offered in future, whether and how you may cancel will be shown before you confirm the order.

Refund policy

Because only free tickets are issued at this time, there are no payments to refund. If paid ticketing is introduced, the refund policy applicable to each event will be shown on the event page and at checkout, and MiMiSpot will not apply a refund policy retrospectively to tickets ordered before it took effect.

Your responsibilities

  • Keep your account credentials secure and do not share your MiMiSpot sign-in.
  • Do not attempt to copy, forge, alter or replay an admission credential.
  • Follow the organizer's and venue's rules and the lawful instructions of staff.
  • Provide accurate attendee information where requested for safety or legal reasons.

Personal information

MiMiSpot shares with the organizer only the information needed to admit you, contact you about the event and meet legal requirements, as described in the Privacy Policy. Credential and scan records are kept for fraud prevention, dispute handling and audit purposes.

Platform limitations

MiMiSpot is not the organizer and does not guarantee that an event will take place, that it will match its description or that the venue will be safe or suitable. MiMiSpot's responsibility is limited to operating the ticketing and admission tools with reasonable care; further limits are set out in the Terms of Use to the extent permitted by law.

Problems and contact

If you have a problem with a ticket, an admission decision or an event, contact MiMiSpot support from My Tickets or by email to muminandson@gmail.com. Complaints about the event itself are passed to the organizer, who remains responsible for the event.
